Squib Class Racing

Squib Class Racing takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evening and on Saturdays for which there is an OOD on duty.  (Please note, no OOD is appointed for certain Saturdays due to other events in Belfast Lough and at Royal North.)

Prizes are awarded as decided by the current committee but as general rule there are trophies and prizes for:

May Points: All races sailed on Tuesday and Thursday evenings after Opening Day until end of May.

June Points: All Races sailed on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during month of June.

July Points: All Races sailed on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during month of July.

August Points: All Races sailed on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from the beginning of August until Closing Day.

Saturday Points: All races sailed on Saturdays for which an OOD has been appointed on the Club Fixture Card

Note:  Some races may be exempted from points racing at the discretion of the committee so that boats attending National Championships are not disadvantaged.  Such races must be previously notified to the class.

Mini Nationals:  The Committee may, at its discretion, and in the event of the above exemptions being applied, hold a mini event for those boats not attending the Nationals e.g. a three race series.

Overall Club Championship:

This is a season long event for which all Tuesday and Thursday evening racing counts.  Eight discards will be applied.

Silver Fleet Prizes:

Silver fleet and other prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the committee

Discards for Monthly points racing:
