RNIYC Autumn Cadet Racing Series 2026

Join us for six Sunday mornings of coached racing, running from 20 September to 25 October. The format will be similar to our spring series, with a focus on helping young sailors build confidence and develop their racing skills.

What to expect

  • 2–3 short races each session

  • A briefing with racing tips

  • Coaching and support around the course during racing

Who is it for?

These sessions are aimed at cadets who:

  • Have their own boat, or are sailing with someone in their (double handed) boat.

  • Are Level 4+, or have a similar level of sailing competence

Class fleets

  • Optimist / Tera

  • Topper / ILCA

  • RS Feva — hopefully with spinnaker!

Please note: Club boats will not be available for these sessions.

Session times

  • Rigged and ready: 10:30am

  • Finish: 12:30pm

Parent support

We are volunteering our time to help run the racing and provide coaching. Parents will need to support their young sailors with getting rigged and ready, launching and recovering boats, and deciding whether the weather conditions are suitable for their child.

Refunds will not be given for non attendance
